August 2026 - Fresh into the Diamond Dave era, the men of F3 Five Points are getting involved in a couple of great local events this fall. We hope you will join us, participate with a team or support an important community cause.
Catawba County Hunger Walk – October 4
The annual Hunger Walk offers both a 5K and one-mile option through downtown Newton. Proceeds are divided equally among Ashure Ministry, Hickory Soup Kitchen and The Corner Table, supporting their shared work to provide food and hope to local neighbors facing food insecurity.

Inaugural HKY100 Trail Race – October 17–18
F3 Five Points and neighboring regions are assembling teams to run—and perhaps ruck—the inaugural HKY100. Solo participants and teams of 2–10 will tackle a four-mile loop until they reach 100 miles. The course is approximately 70% trail, includes more than 15,500 feet of total elevation and continues around the clock. In other words, it has all the makings of a proper CSAUP.

Come put in some miles, enjoy the fellowship and help us represent F3 across the community.
August 2026 - First, congratulations to our Comz Q, Gump, whose tremendous work keeping the website current means one of our most recent updates was the last Nantan transition—many moons ago. Strong work, brother.
But here we are again, welcoming Diamond Dave as the new Nantan of F3 Five Points.
Diamond Dave is one of our OGs and has probably been posting longer and more consistently than just about anyone in the region. He is a constant—a machine powered by determination and two very cool knee braces, which apparently inspired Gump’s recent fashion choices.
We are honored to have Diamond Dave leading the way. He is already pulling together the SLT and getting to work on moving the region forward.
A few other leadership changes are also underway:
Stovepipe—UNC-Chapel Hill’s favorite son who attended Western Carolina and now has a daughter at NC State—takes over as 1st F Q.
Shingle, the pride of the Little Clan, has been “promoted” to Site Q at Showtime, following Stovepipe.
Gump slides over to lead The Station, taking over for longtime Site Q Thin Mint, who has temporarily migrated to Greenland.
Applesauce takes the reins from Gump at The Village, our newest and possibly most popular AO—where the post-workout fellowship remains firmly on point.
We appreciate every one of these men stepping up to serve. The region is in good hands.
July 2025 - On Independence Day, more than 20 men from across the former Foothills Region—including Hickory, Five Points, District 13, and Caldwell County—converged at The Hurler in Granite Falls to celebrate freedom the F3 way.
Led by Deuce, the morning beatdown was equal parts challenging and energizing, reminding us of the physical and mental strength we build together in the gloom. It was a great display of regional unity, shared purpose, and the values that make F3—and this country—something worth showing up for.
T-claps to all the HIM who posted, and to Deuce for leading the charge.
June 2025 - F3 Five Points is excited to announce the transition of leadership as David Hayes—better known in the gloom as Applesauce—steps into the role of Nantan. In F3, the Nantan serves as the regional leader, helping guide the mission of invigorating male community leadership by setting the tone, supporting Qs, and encouraging growth both in numbers and in impact.
Applesauce has been a consistent presence and a strong example of servant leadership within our region, and we’re confident his vision and energy will help take F3 Five Points to the next level. We’re grateful for his willingness to lead, and we look forward to continuing to sharpen one another under his guidance.
Iron sharpens iron.
The Station Celebrates 8 Years of Strength, Brotherhood & Growth! 🎉💪
Eight years ago (3/7/17), a group of men gathered in the gloom for the first-ever beatdown at The Station, not knowing it would become a cornerstone of our F3 community. Since then, we've logged thousands of workouts, pushed each other through the toughest mornings, and built bonds that go far beyond fitness.
This milestone isn’t just about showing up—it’s about transforming ourselves and those around us. Whether you've been here since day one or just joined, you are part of something bigger. Here’s to many more years of iron sharpening iron!
